Essències
An initiative inspired by the local social economy

“Essències” is an experiential tourism service inspired by the social economy. We are a collective of local regions and communities who work together to link, maintain and share the cultural riches that we treasure.  

We have prepared a selection of routes designed for you to discover and enjoy the history and landscape of our region and get to know the crafts, cuisine and people of our local towns and villages.   

The concept and mission behind “Essències” comprises the principles of preserving the common good, economic solidarity and collaboration and, above all, sustainable development.   

The “Essències” travel routes are based on 5 essential ideals: an experience of the crafts, customs and traditions which are slowly disappearing, the history of our towns and villages, the landscape of our region and the taste of local cuisine. Lastly, and above all, we will get to meet the people maintaining these cutural riches with a passion based on the knowledge that in this wisdom are the roots that built and moulded our folk heritage.   

In this way, we have created a highly successful experiential tourism service that prioritizes respect for the environment with a sustainable local economy and benefits from an organizational framework founded on effective coperation between the various organizations involved, all of whom share a commitment to these same values.
